Fender Master Builder / Squire

Postby Dave B » Sat Jun 29, 2019 9:12 am

Interesting video has been in my youtube feed for a while and I had a look. One of the Fender Master Builders was taken to a shop and asked to pick a Squire guitar. Which he does and goes over the three he selects initially. Worth a watch.

Cool guy - super passionate about guitars, for sure.

I enjoyed that. It also shows how good even relatively inexpensive guitars are, these days...

Very interesting indeed. I liked the way he broke down and itemised the things he looked for.

He didn't pick the Classic Vibe. :madas:
Even though I own the same model :madas: :madas:
Let me tell you Mr Master Builder - You take that there CV Strat, strip it down to a single HB at the bridge and a single volume knob and you have one cool rocking, punkin', grungin' geetar that turns on a dime.

But then he said he hates single HB strats

Great feature. Does anyone else approach a music shop muttering the order in which they will assay their object of desire (relief...neck pocket, fret ends etc) and then royally forget everything?

Happy Friday one n all

I'm never organised enough to have a plan. I just want to know if the guitar has a "voice". Everything else is fixable.

I try and avoid going into guitar shops (for obvious reasons) but I have memorised the TRAIN acronym for future set-ups.
