Two loopy!

Guitarist son has a looper pedal which he is happy with but tells me that adding a second one multiplies the possibilities more than twofold?

I am prepared to get him another pedal but it occurred to me that since he has an interface and DAW there should surely be a pluggin to simulate a looper?

There does seem to be one for (with?) Ableton but he does not have that and will not want to get into a very different DAW from his Beloved Samplitude Pro X 3, although he might use Reaper if needs be.

He will, I find need a 'USB Pedal"? A device I had not come across so far. Any information regarding VST looper software and/or USB pedals gratefully received!

Sadly not, just an Android tablet.

I hadn't even thought of controlling the computer with pedals before. Thomann stock some midi footswitches with midi over usb but I've never tried one. I guess that's what you'd need? One of them, the nektar pacer, offers programmable midi and MCU compliance. It is pretty chunky tho.

I always thought the most useful thing for me would be a looper that had midi in so I could sync it. Mine doesn't, so I'll probably get a ditto x4 next. I'm interested in doing it in logic though.

Ahh, too bad. Looks like Android is never going to be an audio platform.
