Strymon Deco advice (slapback, chorus, saturation) and chain placement
Hi everyone, I play mostly jazz or '60s soul / funk and since I use my Tc electronic Flashback 2 delay mainly in Tape mode with up to two repeats, I was wondering if the Strymon Deco could replace it. Also, since I intend to use it also for tape saturation (transparent overdrive) and tape chorus / flanger in a mini pedal board composed of Iridium and Flint, I wonder where it should theoretically be placed.

The short answer is YES!
The DECO is a fantastic pedal, I love it to bits! I literally use it on every electric guitar track that I record.
The tape saturation sounds great and it’ll do chorus, flange, and echo with 1 or 2 repeats. It even sounds great getting into overdrive territory as well.

Wonderful bit of kit, in terms of placement basically try and see but I'd suggest the Iridium will be last in the chain so it depends if you want the tape saturation first or after trem/verb from the Flint.
I'd probably go after the Flint but try both and see.

I would also start with it after the Flint first.

Seems like expensive pedal ....
It is dual pedal though, sounds great and it is no more than the decent rack mount effects used to be either. I expect it is often used post recording as a line level effect.
