This is not something to buy cheaply unless you get a second hand bargain. I've seen so many people blow pedals by using the cheap maplin style psus. you need isolated and im not sure that anyone would want the noise from cheaper supplies. voodoo labs are always the best and the bbe supa charger can be had for very cheap if you go used.

Not really as that's just a case without a power supply and seemingly with a much less flexible layout.blinddrew wrote:The three pedal version? https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-B ... -Board/KW7

Most 'decent'* pedals are pretty robust and can tolerate a 'less than well regulated' PSU without harm but, while isolated outputs can solve noise issues I have never heard of a non-isolated but properly regulated PSU causing such issues. There are plenty of inexpensive power supplies which are well regulated these days, serious over voltage is vary rare. Noise is another matter and I have had problems with a cheap SMPSU pedal supply injecting digital 'hash' into the audio. The only other time I've had trouble was with a long forgotten pedal which had it's DC input on the opposite polarity t my other pedals, an isolated supply would have solved that one I guess.

Ive had to repair a fair few high end pedals analogman, Fulltone, old ehx stuff and the like that have just been fried by cheap power supplies

I'm not a tech and your knowledge is clearly greater than mine but it is not something I have ever come across. Incorrect power supplies (i.e. too high a voltage) maybe, if you stick a 24V supply in a 9V pedal all bets are off. I've never heard of a non-isolated PSU frying a pedal though.

sorry if i wasnt clear, itsnothing to do with the isolation its more that the fluctuations of power in cheaper supplies are the harming aspect.

'Fluctuations in voltage surely?' but yes, I totally get that.

MXR ISO Brick here, no problems, runs all my pedals, also has two variable voltage outputs, plus a wide range of loadings. Although my EHX stuff has its own supplies, the MXR only goes up to 450 mA max.

I went for a Truetone. I don’t know if you have them over there. I am using the 250 and 500mA connections and only one of the 100mA connections. It was a bit overkill but the best bang for the buck due to needing the higher mA.
