Hey

I Just bought a Peavey VTM 120 amp, old forerunner of 5150 , build in 1987 , still the original valves. sounds very jcm 800 , only deeper with those 6L6 valves

i wondered, why aren't there more amps like these? who owns one??? it's hard to find info about who used it, what period it was build, the Peavey site doesn't mention it either.

:headbang:

i really did a bargain buying this ( with a 4x12 cab with celestion GL12-85s ) but i would like to know the history of this amp, anyone resources???

hi, i have one...well, it's in bits in some dodgy repair shop at the minute. I really like(d) it. Used by Kim Thyall(sp?) from Soundgarden for a while. You'll find a small group of fans on forums if you hunt deep.
I've a 5150 now though. :)
