I'm being sent a motif xs rack from a relative in america. Any idea what on earth (npi) I'll need to make it work? I've only ever bought european. If someone has a direct link to what I'll be needing I'll be eternally grateful!

I cannot quickly find the power consumption for the Motif from Yamahas' manual but I would think 200W would be more than enough so go for

Have you clocked the price difference between the two units?

If that is not a Maplin cockup (and it wouldn't be the first!) buy the bigger, cheaper one. No harm.
