Will a Roland DP-10 work with a NORD electro 3?

Postby adfish48 » Wed Jan 13, 2010 9:09 pm

I recently bought a Roland DP-10 Half Damper pedal to use as a sustain with my E-MU XBoard Midi keyboard, but when i went to use it it did not work as i had expected. It basically worked as an on/off switch for sustain rather than turning on sustain only when my foot was down. I've read a few other forums, which have told me that the midi keyboard is not compatible with the pedal. I will soon be buying a NORD electro 3 and want to know if anyone knows if the pedal will work with this?

Thanks

I use a Roland sustain pedal (maybe the DP-10) and it works fine with my Nord Electro 2.

The NE has a menu to change sustain pedal polarity in case it would not work.

You also can either control the sustain in piano mode or rotor speed in organ mode with the same pedal because you can't play piano and organ at the same time.

Clavia is an awesome and versatile company. I really like them!

Have a look here!
