Calling anything made by Behringer "long-awaited" is a bit of a stretch!

Yet intriguing - some of those sounds it makes are indeed gorgeous!
And some well-respected folks in the video too (I know both Jane Caley and Richard Devine)

Is this the one which is err 'inspired' by the older Rolands? If so, then I'm quite interested as it's an area I don't have covered and was curious about - a couple of the sounds there were Roland-esque to my ears. I wonder how long it will be before it's out? I seem to remember a teaser about this from ages ago...

5 octaves of full-sized keys and I'm prepared to give it a fair hearing.

Ah, you and your weird, left-field and hard-to-satisy requirements!
3-octave* minikeys, or it's not a synth these days..! ;)
2-octaves to be especially cool. It's a bass synth innit, obvs!

Will be interesting to see what their price point is, and what the voice count is.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

Having just put the July 2005 SOS articles onto this site, I was interested to read in the RME Designs interview that founder Matthias Carstens was formerly head product designer for Behringer, where he designed the Edison, the Supressor, the Ultramatch and the Combinator.

I didn't know that Ian! Fascinating stuff, as Matthias is the bee's knees when it comes to comprehensively designed and supported products!

Ooo, on the idea of 6 degrees of separation I've just gone down to one degree from Martin Walker
Sorry, carry on :D

Hmmnn ... I'm now starting to wonder if Desmond spent the 80s in a long black coat, huge wooly jumper with blonde spiky hair ... and a KX5 ....
(Mind you ... I can't talk .. ;) )

Only aspirationally! Other than being a fan, other similarities include a Moog Prodigy as my first synth, and a love of the JP8 (sadly not including ownership of one though).

Own up - you had a skinny keyboard tie, didn't you?
