I managed to score a UK pre-order at £97. Although I have no love whatsoever for the TB-303, or any of its kind, I know a bargain when I see it!

Yes those lucky B******* that got one for £97, the only upside is I have one and you don't  (I would assume, as it appears only Thomann have has stock thus far, they've even been shipping out some of the yellow TD-3's!

Oh and one nice thing is that you do get a smiley face Behringer sticker in the box as well as the standard triangular one, no more dell logo on the back of my laptop for me :D

Oh and something that came up as a reply to a comment on facebook was that when the modules/synths get announced on facebook (the generic style announcements, not the special ones) that is when they are ready to ship from their warehouse, so Thomann should have stock of the announced modules soon!
(for example this post, https://www.facebook.com/behringer/phot ... =3&theater)

Plus new firmware 1.25 for the TD-3 announced, MIDI slide now available.

Behringer's latest wheeze...

I wonder if this is something to do with Peter Kirn of CDM?

What's it about though? Is it a dig or an homage? I wouldn't find it funny if it's a dig, though on its own merits without context I found it very funny!

The plot thickens!

As I understand it, Peter Kirn of CDM & Meeblip has put up a number of blog posts about Behringer's various clone/homage products, and their business practices, including this old chestnut:

https://cdm.link/2018/06/behringer-have ... efamation/

In December last year, Behringer/The Music Tribe took out a trademark on the name 'Kirn'. After a brief bit of speculation on Gearslutz (LINK: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/electro ... -kirn.html) about what kind of synth/instrument it might be, it's starting to look like Behringer's only use for the Kirn name is to post derisory pictures and videos:

Surely not...?

Yikes, not so funny then :(

I hope their recent successes haven't gone to their heads and they are now just going to be childish. I'm all for a bit of humour and so on, but ...

Is anyone still going to defend this company? Bullying independent journalists? Honestly, I'm so happy I've never bought any of their products. Disgusting, immoral arseholes.

I'm still holding out some hope for a better explanation, but the comments on the Twitter, Facebook and YouTube posts of this vid have been... mixed at best!

I thought it was certainly testing the boundaries and to me suggested the saying

"If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then its probably a duck."
even if it does cost 1/10th of the price.

Perhaps part of an upcomming battle with the Kork ARP 2600 ?

Cat pee side note : the Cat was apparently influenced by ARP before production was banned ????

CDM also pointed out Music Tribe's attempts to register various synth-related names as trademarks, including some still in current use by the original manufacturers/designers. I fear Uli dislikes people pointing out his 'aggressive' business tactics

I had really hoped that Behringer were becoming more a more professional outfit, this sort of crap seriously undermines that. This is junior school playground stuff.

I posted a couple of negative feedback comments against the video, as did a bunch of other folks.

They pulled the video about 10 seconds ago. Hopefully the negative reaction from many will cause them to rethink.

I saw your comments. Well done! It seems a lot of people were equally dismayed at such a pathetic ad hominem video.

I am genuinely rethinking my desire for the Odyssey and RD8 now.

Such a shame. I though Behringer were above this kind of nonsense now. They were doing so well. :frown:
