I love the idea of a system 55, though I'm going to need to do some research to figure out which modules constitute a fully working system system - my brain can't take it all in!

Though I accept we're only hearing compromised audio over YouTube, those example sounds really are lovely.

We know the sound will be OK, given Behringers record,so, the only, final attraction for me would be how it looked and felt.
And it doesn’t! on those last two counts, it has to look and feel like an original system, that’s why I immediately lost interest in their 2600.
I tried the D and it’s sounds fabulous, but psychologically the looks are very important, and will effect how people hear things, it’s a fact.

My philosophy in these cases is bigger is best, and more is more.

I think we'd all love you to compare them too! It's certainly a very attractive price....

This Behringer thing is a massive joke now, why not just copy anything that’s outrageously expensive and over priced? Even current stuff, looks like it can be done, no problem, which makes you wonder what sort of profit margin some companies are working under.
How about an SSL desk knock off, or a Neumann mic copy, BerryTide effects anyone?

I wonder if Behringer’s marketing psychologists suggest that the thing will sell better if it has the same form factor and general appearance as the original? Clearly this unit could have the performance and controls of the original, all comfortably fitting in a 1u Rack.
Silly.

I’m just as gullible as anyone, and like things to look the same, they do sound better as well, as we all know.

Yes but only if you use the 'proper' cables (with the arrows going the right way)
