Works for me.

Have you got something set up that prevents javascripts from running in your browser?

Hi Hugh,

I tried to download Java but the site is down so I downloaded Java 8 from nitite.com.

Link still does not work. In Manage Addons I found 'Java sv helper' was disabled, enabled it but still no joy. The link just sits top of screen as a tab but nothing else opens.

Well it works for me, and I love it!

SO informative in such a basic yet helpful way (they even got me answering the questions ;) )

And I loved what you could do with the Convergence control in later examples - very clever

Despite the name similarities, "Java" has nothing to do with javascript. At all.

You don't need Java. You do need a relatively modern web browser that supports web standards, and not have much of it's functionality disabled.

Agreed - I was recently persuaded to try Google Chrome after my wife simply couldn't run a particular web site on Firefox, and which recommended Chrome.

Chrome not only installed quickly on her machine, carried over all her bookmarks and so on from Firefox, and ran the web site in question perfectly, but also resolved a long-standing problem of hers with videos on another site that had simply never appeared at all on screen.

I was so impressed that despite my reservations about Google, I installed Chrome on my own PC, only to find that it also resolved long-standing frustrations with at least three web sites that I visit regularly.

I'm still highly wary of Google's information mining tactics, but Chrome is now a keeper.

And yet the Ms site tells me to make sure I have the latest version of Java installed!

I have tried 'cmd' >Regsvr32 jscript.dll but no joy. Even unistalled Silverlight in case that was "getting in the way" !

Yes I use EI11 but really don't want to change just for one problem site. Not had any other issues.

Blank screen here with the Mavericks bundled version of Safari (which does happen with some other websites) I get an 'upgrade your browser' nag with a couple of there websites too (Facebook notably). Since to upgrade Safari I would have to upgrade my OS and it is working well (and I have it on 2 MacPro's 2 x MacBook Pro's and one iMac) I'm reluctant to change anything.

I do also have a, not so current, version of Firefox on here though and it's fine on that so I'll watch it later......

And in comparison, here's a bad tutorial on distortion - starting with some harmonic theory (but harmonics that are already out of phase with the fundamental - though they don't tell you that) - and neglecting the importance of the amplitude of the harmonic.
