Keyboards with USB instead of midi

Postby mort77 » Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:37 pm

I have a Kurzweil KP 110 USB Host out only
Can I go out of my Kurzweil to my Yamaha MX 61 which has both USB B and USB host
It’s midi compliant

Host Out of Kurzweil to USB in on Yamaha for midi ?

Thanx

What are you trying to achieve? Do you want to play MX61 sounds from the Kurzweil using a USB cable?

I don't think it's possible. The USB host slot seems to be for a USB flash drive to save programs and play back MIDI and audio data stored on the drive and not for onwards connection to another keyboard or sound module.

Ok so I’ll purchase a Kenton Midi USB Host
Hopefully that should work
I want to use the Kurzweil as a controller and Yamaha as slave
