Desmond, The RK100s has been and gone mate. Unless they are re-re-launching it. I was tempted but by the time I was looking for one, they had already been discontinued.

On another note, BigRedX is now my new hero!!

I mentioned it because there was talk about it during some NAMM 2019 Korg podcasts, but perhaps they were talking about an old product... my bad... obviously wasn't paying attention while driving through the snow... ;)

Of all the keytar's (I hate that term!) made, the KX5 still for me hits the right form factor sweet spot.

I think that's because it has full width but reduced length keys and only 3 octaves.

If I was going to buy one now I'd probably be looking at the Alesis Vortex.

Yamaha threw all their GX1s in the skip when they recalled them from their flagship music schools in Japan. Apparently they don't even have one working machine in the entire company.

A terrible way to treat your own legacy.

As the complete GX1 package weighed 951kg, saying 'threw in the skip' is perhaps the wrong term. Unless Godzilla helped. :D
