Is it similar to a Midi File?

A quick google says that this is the file format used for the Yamaha S80 and S30. Apparently. Do you own a Yamaha S-Series?

As Dave said, it looks to be a Yamaha S80/S30 Voice Editor File. If this is the case then the software that can open it can be found here: https://europe.yamaha.com/en/support/up ... 59_en.html

I doubt it contains any note information, more likely it's a voice data dump.

Some of my musical works.
I had a weird time in Surrey once, but that was a drummer's fault.

I own a Yamaha CS6x and had programmed 128 sounds for it. I had trouble saving a Midi File, so I saved the sounds to a Smart Media card. I found a USB card reader, connected it to my computer, inserted the card and copied the file onto the desktop. I now need to see if it will load back into the CS6x.
