Gordon Reid Buchla review, Morphing Filter or Source Of Uncertainty?

Postby Arpangel » Mon Jul 29, 2019 9:34 am

I see that Gordon Reid reviewed the Buchla 200e some time back, just wondering if he or anyone else has any views on the 266e and 267e? I've asked around on other dedicated forums, about making a choice between the 266e or, maybe going for a 267e random/filter? but as usual replies vary a lot.
The reason I'm unsure is that I'm getting on fine with my Easel and no conventional filter, it makes me do unfamiliar things, and I'm a bit scared that if I get a filter I'll lapse back into more conventional, predictable patches.
I've been offered a 266e at a very good price, so that's tempting, but I don't want to miss out on that filter, if it's worth having. I only have a 4 space extension boat for my Easel, so space is limited.
