Slurp!

Yes, I am very sure that if this first batch has sold as well as is being reported that Korg will be falling over themselves to create more.

But it's still a lot of money, and Berry are already making the black/orange rackable version. Oooh!

I want a grey one, or a blue one, I hope Behringer make a grey or blue, I think a blue one would be popular...

From what I heard Korg made 400 ARP 2600's worldwide. Take out a number for VIP's plus I understand some people know about and ordered before general release then there was not many left for distributers worldwide. I suspect most will have an allocation about 3 or 4 and the big distributers 5 or 6. I don't think they have been distributed yet to dealers. With low numbers it will perhaps keep original prices as they are.

Feedback loops? How do you mean, exactly? Or is it a secret between yourself

I'd assume that being semi-modular, it's the ability to patch an output back to an input near the beginning of a chain.

Or anywhere, taking the main out back into the reverb is very cool, the filter too, but adding modulation to the feedback signal before it arrives, for some reason, this synth does this very well, a bit like my VCS3.

I'm guessing they're now sold out with no current plans announced to create more (and there seemed to be a lot of fuss about how it was a "single, one-time-only production run" so I don't see how they can), but previous orders haven't yet all been distributed. (?)

and if you wanted to know what the inside looks like amazona have taken pictures, pretty much all SMD components. Plus the trimmers are not the high quality multi-turn type but bog standard plastic encapsulated single turn ones!

They mention that much of the cost is in the wooden case and how even in Asia it can't be made that cheaply, having said that how much different is the case really to one for a guitar amp?, esp. if you compare it to the raked case of a keyboard amplifier such as the Roland KC range.

Ouch. That's pretty nasty. Those trimmers even look like the carbon track ones, not cermet or plastic film.

Well, as someone who has built a fair amount of stuff over the years, I can say the electronics are the least expensive part of any unit. Using single-turn over multiturn trimmers doesn't have to be a problem.
