This is the key point that I was missing. No addressing of controls needed, just the corresponding parameter/value combination.

General question. If all I wanted to do was to parse incoming Sysex to NRPN/CC values in the layout, presumably I would only need to write Input code, not Output code, as I am not trying to process the output from MDP? I assume your example was Input code.
