Ok, I will try to record the x station onto an audio track.
Thanks to you all for your advice
You are here
Novation X Station, no record in daw
For fans of synths, pianos or keyboard instruments of any sort.
Not at all. My advice stands - you will need to connect the synth's audio outputs to your audio interface, or abandon the AI and use the synth as the chosen ASIO device. You cannot have two ASIO devices connected to a DAW. I would go with connecting the audio outputs from the synth to your AI - life will be simpler that way.Nabdone69 wrote:Sorry, no, my synth is connected to my pc via usb. The synth is being heard through headphones, but not in my daw. Sorry if I sound dumb
And my advice about Local Off also stands. If you want to play the keyboard and record the MIDI *and* have this play back to the synth, then Local should be set to off. By doing this you are effectively separating the keyboard from the synth, which is necessary to use it with a DAW. Your DAW will send MIDI to the synth instead, which is how you want it.
