I just can’t have a studio without a Moog in it, I couldn’t justify keeping my Mini, but this has "that sound" no doubt about it. You put a Moog through an effect, delay etc, and you’ve got an album, and the reason why they still makes these classic designs is that no one can do it like they can, and they still sell. The violin hasn’t changed for hundreds of years, and Moogs are the same thing, just classic designs that are timeless.
This is a very unlikely but suitable replacement for my Buchla, which I used to look at and scratch my head even after a year of owning it, it was good, but I had to "learn" it every time I switched it on.
The Moog is going to be a good "one synth" performance instrument, and it can go very strange, and all the functions are just friendly and familiar, I don’t have to struggle with it like the Buchla.
