I suspect it's less about how you're going to sneak that in but more about how you're going to sneak the £14k out! :D

That's easy, just say the TVR needs a service.

That is a most generous offer but I must decline. I simply dont have the room for even a Reface YC [impressed by the YC's leslie as well as the sound]

Interesting that the "portable" depicted has a foot rest bar, I would never have thought of that but its no doubt obvious to pedallers of bass.

First renders on the Behremin are now on their FB page, targeting a huge $99 for the finished device.

I wish they'd concentrate on recreating synths that are no longer available, rather than those that are, in one form or another.

I can’t imagine big sales for this - they are very difficult to play accurately. They also require a fair degree of body and hand control as opposed to just the finger and arm control for a keyboard.

It's electronic, makes noise, is fun to play with, can probably control other things and is affordable.

The modular crowd will no doubt snap these up to play with.

The amount of people buying them to use as a musical instrument will, I think, be small...

Horrible. Can't condone this. Going to severely impact the wonder of my Etherwave recitals if it takes off. No need for it, as Hugh says - there's already inexpensive models by Burns, as well as the Theremini. I see Moog have just released a new high-end theremin too.

As for this "easy" quantised mode...pfft. That's like playing a Sax-a-Boom and pretending it's a Selmer.

I think that $99 better reflects the musical value that the vast majority of us would produce from owning a Theremin!

Even an expert has trouble playing them in tune. But man, what a crazy idea...

Just need that third arm or one or two legs to control volume!

Why not make it a theremin party?

(Doing it socially distanced just makes it all the fun - like a game of Twister but with a really dodgy soundtrack!)
