Yep. As I recall, they did it after the new (competent) management moved in and finally kicked out Henry J...

Weren't we all cloned by Behringer in 2986?

Behringer/Music Tribe’s application to trademark the “Behringer Oberheim” name has been rejected, according to US Patent Office (USPTO).

Looks like Thomann are starting to ship the Blue Marvin and Grey Meanie variants of the 2600, so we should see some audio demo's by end users soon.

And... another one!
8 voice Polysix clone anyone?, going to be called the Polyeight and is in development with a prototype bring shown off, looks like it is going to have a 49 key keyboard in the DM12/Wave style case. Based on the same ARM platform that will form the basis for the DS-80 and UB/OB-Xa.

And for The Elf's benefit should he choose to purchase one, and internal PSU!

Given that the original PolySix was a "poor man's Prophet 5", we are now looking at a "poor man's poor man's Prophet 5"...

Looks fugly as well. Not for me thanks

I’ve just bought a Prophet 5.
It didn’t involve any deep thinking, it will just give me back what I had with my original, an amazing instrument, capable of inspiration in an instant, so many colours, from one instrument, unparalleled, also it comes with no moral dilemmas,

A duff poly based on the duff original. What a waste of resources. :headbang:

And yet still waiting for the OB-Xa and DS-80.

They'll probably make one at some point

Who would ever have thought making synths would be a good business venture!

Wish they had put the VC340 in that chassis and ditched the octave switch. Sigh...

Agreed, still glad we got a VP330 clone though and for a reasonable price.

Oh, I'm with you on that, mate. Yet it still pains and baffles me that they they went to all the trouble of recreating the VP so nearly perfectly, yet couldn't see the job through with the right sized keyboard. :headbang:
