Looks like Fred is now making his V4 software available for the Roland JX-8P, which had previously been developed for the JX-10/MKS-70.
My MKS-70 is a Vecoven V4 upgraded device, with Guy Wilkinson's replacement screen, internal cartridge expansion and PWM upgrade. These have made the MKS-70 into an absolute powerhouse of a synth, far beyond the capabilities of the original, yet not spoiling any of my old presets.
Essentially V4 fixes all the debilitating problems with the original software, and adds two additional assignable multi-stage envelopes (MUCH faster than the originals) and two additional assignable LFOs to the synth. The original (sluggish) envelopes and LFOs are still there.
I have no commercial affiliation with any of this - just a happy user. :)
