No no no no no! In fact I’d say the MS series are at home live and in the studio, and, you can go as far out as you want, way beyond "traditional" it has a top end reverb algorithm, plus, you can chain loads together, plenty of emulations of classic pedals too, but you can connect as many effects as you like, until you run out of processing power.
There’s everything in there, and I’ve heard some amazing things too, it’s great because you can spend ages programming, and store for gigging, or, get really experimental and go really deep in the studio if you have time to mess around. I’d start off with the CDR-70, it’s so good, for what? £75?
