Indeed so, just listened through myself. Absolutely no clue who did what, and with what. An incredible range of styles too :bouncy:

Very very good - so far on first listen loving the build and development of track 12 - I have no idea what synth it is but its seriously capable!
Lots of other great tracks so I'll do a proper run through in the next day or so and my attempt to identify some synths and composers - i might end up with analog or digital - but that's hard enough sometimes!

I've given up trying to guess who did what with what (other than I think Track 12 might be Eddy), I'm just enjoying them for what they are.

Excellent work folks !
I'll have another listen tomorrow but here are some thoughts (wild guesses mainly) on the 1st pass.
2 with chiptune elements. Is it the next big thing or are they by the same person ?
[1] Track 1, has vocal formants reminiscent of the FS1r
[6] Track 6, FM gongs & choir could be the FS1r again or maybe real gong waves synthed about. Is Mr Trump on a DAW track or samples triggered on the keyboard ? That might make it more likely to be more a Montage or other sampler synth.
[8] Track 9, Yoshimi Pi, just a guess !

I've made some notes, but I'll have a few more listens through before I write them up here.
Other than that I know 100% what one of the synths used is, but I'm not convinced (currently) it's from the obvious person responsible.
Track 12 is *huge*! (I also think this might be Eddy)

Is there a definitive list of folks who contributed? I think that would make guessing a bit more realistic!

Re: One Synth Challenge V - The Filter Strikes Back!
Ha! Carefully placed in alphabetical order I notice :)
Track 10 has sounds that could be achieved with Yoshimi, but also prolly a lot of other synths (we need a shrug smiley) - it's not me!
I've also got a suspicion that number 12 is Eddy.

Re: One Synth Challenge V - The Filter Strikes Back!
A couple of random thoughts:
Track 1: An absolutely gorgeous pad ... could this be Will on Yoshimi?
Track 4: Yep, that's a synth alright! I'm loving that fat bass. Analogue, I'm guessing. Something Oberheim-y? Possibly Dave B?
Track 8: A lovely smooth sound, very nice tune and has a wonderful '80s feel to it - Rich?
Track 10: Lovely arpeggios right from the start and that backing pad just wraps the ears like a blanket. Warm and reassuring. I'm edging towards analogue or VA here. IAA?
Track 14: Those 'bleepy' arpeggiations that come in towards the end are lovely!
I made notes on all of the tracks but it's hard to share them all without giving my own away :)

Wow!! Well done everyone. All very good!
I've no idea what or who is which.
I was thinking Pro-1 on 4, then there's some poly notes in there...?
I particularly like 10 on the 1st listen thru.

Ignore the post count, I have no idea what I'm doing...
Re: One Synth Challenge V - The Filter Strikes Back!
Track 7 is the one which got caught up in a copyright claim issue. Soundcloud is a little ... over-zealous ... and blocks at the drop of a hat. If we can clear it, it will come back in. Otherwise, I'll post a link to the 'official' version and it can be a bonus track.
In other news, as part of todays publishing, I've had a clearout so that the older playlists are going to be archived as dropbox folders and I'll start a new sticky thread about the challenge overall with what it's about and the various 'rules', along with the links and details of the past challenges. When we do OSC 6 (The Undiscovered Feature), OSC 5 will migrate to dropbox, etc.
(I could have set up a load of new users, but I feel bad about abusing the free Soundcloud functionality)
