What! You're a developer and didn't think of writing a python script to synthesize a 13 sided dice?
Don't forget it has to skip actual value 7 :tongue:

Python? *spit*

Aww, Dave removed the previous challenge playlist so we can't check for stylistic similarities..!

I can't post guesses for all (as it's a giveaway).
I might havemade some intentional misdirectional guesses to throw people off the scent. But here's some I thinkies:

(Everytime I listen to track 4 I think I keep getting text messages.. (!))

Hey has Track 7 landed?

Track 2 - Folderol
Track 3 - The chordal movement in this is attractive
Track 5 - big Human League vibe with this one, sounds analog. But maybe Hydrasynth?
Track 6 - Dave?
Track 12 - Eddy
Track 13 - IAA
Track 14 - Rich (and also Track 9)

Good News Everyone! Track 7 has in fact been re-instated. Yay!! We have a whole new track to guess at. Many thanks to the composer for clearing it so quickly.

Desmond :

* wrong
* ? nothing to say
* right
* wrong
* right
* right
* you have two guesses there. One of them is right, one of them is wrong.

This was my second guess for the Hydra, after track 14. Lovely work, whoever did it - it's a cracking track :clap:

That is rather lovely :thumbup:

Not a clue who or what though.

P.S. Rich you'll have to change that software dice again.
Apologies for suggesting it was in Python, it is, of course Visual Basic.

Aha - I was right - I could 'see' all the dry ice and the cape swirling and immediately thought Eddy!

Ironically I'm far less concerned with what synths were used than the excellence of the tracks themselves.

What a lot of talent there is visiting the SOS forums - great work everybody!

Nope. It would have been possible, but I'm more inclined to suspect Rich for that one.

Sorry John - you'll have a really hard time if you're trying to spot that !! :)

OK - so synths used are ..
  • Argon 8x
  • Arturia CS80v2
  • Hammond
  • Hydrasynth
  • K1v
  • Kontakt/Pharlight
  • KV331 'Synthmaster'
  • Prophet 6
  • Prophet 8 Rev 2
  • u-he Bazille
  • UVI Falcon
  • VC340
  • Yoshimi

I do know what Desmond used now, but if I add it in, you all can work out what he used.

Ah. Thanks Dave. I was expecting one member to use his Subharmonicon. :headbang: There's such a lot of great music here (and gear)!
