You don't want a lab coat for credibility these days, too much like a L'Oreal advert.
For true credibility you need an old navy blue or mid brown dust coat, a thick set of plastic-rimmed glasses, and a pencil tucked behind your ear.

I didn't have an instrument in this category until recently. I was using my Trinity over the weekend - which I've just had a year. I got an amazing sound out of it that fit perfectly into the track I was working on. I found myself muttering the classic Star Wars line "This baby's still got a few surprises left in her sweet heart". I realized at that moment I would have to dress up like Han Solo from now on when I play the Trinity. :D

For a while I put on dress shoes when I wanted to use this wah pedal:



The rubber dome expression pedal part was just too firm for the trainers I wore and my dress shoes (weddings & funerals) were the only properly hard soled shoes I had.

Cracking controller though, much easier to do steady modulations vs the typical rocker type I've tried. I did want to see about creating an adapter/box for it so I could plug it directly into a normal expression pedal input but I've never got round to it.
