hello, i want to get a better midi controller than the one i have( the old oxygen 25)
I use cubase and i want to utse it mainly for controlling cubase(though it is a thing i never done before) and the vst of course
I also a 88 key electric piano, Casio PX3
So i have an instruments that fullfill the needs of a decent keyboard
I need something to use for controlling. And for this 49 keys it is enough (considering also space issue)
Don't want to pay a lot for it..what can you suggest?
thank you

Re: midi controller suggestion
Do you want sliders and knobs or just keys and wheels?

The Arturia Keylab 49 is worth considering. As well as 49 key it has 16 decent pads, faders & knobs. It can control some Cubase functions as well, and comes with a decent VSTi as well.

Only you can decide whether it is worth the money for you. But it might be worth reading the manual to see what Cubase controls it offers.

Re: midi controller suggestion
TBH I'd probably go for something with Mackie compatibility to ease getting it to work with Cubase. A Behringer X-Touch Mini would do the job:

They're cheap enough and work perfectly well.
...and a separate keyboard.

Re: midi controller suggestion
so for cubase control the way is a surface control then
while a midi controller with slide and knob is for control vst
is that right?
anything that do both at the same time?

Re: midi controller suggestion
I doubt it. It would need to be able to operate both as a midi controller and an MCU-type unit at the same time. I also think that, unless you're really short on space, there are benefits from separation of function. That way there's less chance of accidentally changing the wrong thing because you forgot to change the format.stefanocps2 wrote:anything that do both at the same time?
