Friday evening fun

Postby Eddy Deegan » Fri Jan 22, 2021 5:22 pm

It's been a long and somewhat gruelling week here, but I think I found the solution. It's been waiting for me on the living room table since last night

Just need to hoik the skiff with the Hermod in it through as well, and I'm all set.

Well, everyone needs to do that occasionally.

Glad you're enjoying yourself. (The Moog looks cool.)

Looks like you're in for a good one! How are you getting along with the new Moog trio?

Nice! Looks like great fun Eddy

I’ve recently dipped my toes in the modular water (lockdown will do that to you) and I’m slowly building up my portable rack. I’ll post some pics soon.

Looks fascinating. Where does the guitar plug in?

Oh yes, and please tell me that's a coaster not a 5" floppy!

Ignore the post count, I have no idea what I'm doing...

As I'm mainly a keyboard man I find twiddling modulars to be strangely liberating because the main objective at the moment is to increase my familiarity with it and as such I don't feel a lot of pressure to achieve anything on it yet.

I've not had a lot of time to play with the Moog stack so far but from the couple of little sessions I've managed to squeeze in it's clear that it's got a lot of potential.

I've got an idea for something I want to try out tonight. Working with a modular is certainly a lot different to my normal approach but ultimately I want to get to the point I can incorporate elements of modular texture into my normal workflow, and it's a lot of fun anyway.

I'm looking forward to seeing what tonight brings :-)

I really like the idea. It seems like great fun but I think I'm going to stay well away from the top of that particular slippery slope for the time being.

Those Moogs are particularly inviting as a set. I decided I'd prefer a Grandmother and a Subharmonicon to a Matriarch. I have the Grandmother since the summer, and the Subharmonicon is next on the list.

I had been putting it off for years! It was always bound to happen though

Oh my, that looks like a great little sonic playground. Just make sure to eat before you start because time goes QUICK when you're patching! :)
