I seem to be collecting a lot of broken gear lately, but it’s stuff that actually sounds better when it’s broken, like my T Rex Replicator, and an old solid state Roland Chorus Echo I have that sounds fabulously low-fi as it’s a total wreck.
The latest thing is a Pocket Operator Tonic drum machine, during my basement studio reconstruction, we accidentally dropped a flight case on it, and I thought uh-oh! my partner is going to kill me, as it was a birthday present from her.
But all is fine, it actually sounds better! It's only the display that’s broken, but for some reason it now produces these lovely random sounds from the buttons, including some amazing filtered white noise type sounds, that it never did before.
My partner did go mad when I told her, I tried to say it was actually better than it was before it was broken, but that just made her madder, and she stared saying that I was mad.
It’s all calmed down now though, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else has changed in the Tonic, this could be a revelation.
:)

I can't believe that revelation has taken her so long... More barking than a full cry of hounds! :bouncy:

I’d agree with you Hugh, about it taking so long, but don’t judge just yet, you haven’t met both of us together.
