Started a new synth programming YouTube channel

Postby Alanqa » Tue Feb 23, 2021 8:05 pm

Hi all. I've started a new YouTube channel dedicated to programming "realistic" sounds on an analog synth.

Any viable suggestions to try would be most welcome.

So far I've done Church Bells, Choir, Cox Humana and Human Whistle.

Nice Tomita-style touch at the end of the choir video ;)

I have no idea what I'm doing.

Intro is too long

The intro is about twenty percent of the total length of the video.
It’s too long by any standard, but for such short videos it’s glaring.

There’s no voice over or subtitles to explain what you’re doing.

Thank you for the feedback I will take it on board. Mof - the subtitles are at the top of the screen

Apologies, I didn’t spot those, maybe because I’m conditioned to looking at the bottom of the screen. :D

No apology necessary. You have pointed out a flaw that I could correct.
I didn't want to talk all through the video. I tried it but I sounded really waffley and patronising.

I am assuming, rightly or wrongly, that if someone watches the video they already know which end of a synth to blow in and where to attach the strings so I figured I'd just caption the essentials.

This feedback is gold.

Thanks everyone.

I've edited all the videos and shortened all the intros. I appreciate your criticism and have acted on it.
