The synth equivalent of nunchakkas - you'll find yourself getting hit as much as your opponent! ;)

It's a fascinating device. Please let us know how you get on with it!

As do I.

And for those who like me had to look up the Soma Labs Lyra 8, here's the review from SOS August 2017 so you can get up to speed before Ben does ;)

It's already shipped from California, so I'm hoping it'll arrive in time for the long weekend next week ...

Been pondering something like this for a while, but worried that the Lyra is a bit of a one-trick pony. I do like the wonky foghorn vibe though.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

This could be really bad Ben, you may tip me over, I’ve been thinking about getting a Pulsar for ages, but I’ve been sweeping it under the carpet.

That would be an ecumenical matter.

Modular is almost entirely composed of one-trick ponies! It's more the sum being greater than its parts, I think.
This one is a bit of a leap of faith, though, and I'm just as curious as everyone else as to how it'll work out.

You should get one and then tell me I shouldn't.

The Lyra-8 is out for delivery today and I don't think I'll have time to do more than unbox it and verify that it works tonight, but I'm looking forward to exploring it over the long weekend. I have a new recording mostly done, it's just waiting for some pads/drones, which I'm hoping I can coax out of the L-8. :D

Well, it's here. It's quite big, and orange. A nice, orange-cicle type of orange. It arrived extremely well packed, and is quite heavy. I'm letting the VCOs warm up and then I'll start turning dials.
