I remember seeing him on tv as a kid. He always seemed to be singing into a tiny hand held mic with a slightly bigger windscreen on it. Or maybe he has really big hands?
Anyone know what it was?
It almost looked like one of the Beyer ribbons mentioned in this months mag.

You're thinking of Bob Barker from The Price Is Right,

Just kidding!

I'm not generally a fan of Mr Jones, but here's a couple of tracks that have really resonated with me:

Thanks for pointing those out. I've never actually been able to understand the entire lyric on Tower of Song before now! :D It was really well done...

similarly, Im not a fan, I thought he was "some 60s dude" likely to be seen on saturday evening TV, untill I heard the closing titles to Edward Sisscor hands {1990 ish ?) "With these hands".

He’s still got it, I heard him recently, a track from his last album, I wasn’t impressed, there are a few "distressed old singers" giving it the I'm on my last legs vibe, and I find some of that a bit cheesy, and depressing, but here, he’s on form, still has that voice, great memories of my mum dancing to Tom Jones, her favourite singer.

That would be an ecumenical matter.
