Hello NS100M,
I was given 50 of these amps to repair, and with no schematics and parts I found that usually the power FET transistors and the preamp components are the cause of audio quality degeneration.
If your amp uses the same circuitry I may be able to help in the late phase of these flyingmole units.

Wow, delighted to find this thread. I've got one of the Flying Mole DAD amps that has exhibited the distortion problem for many years and gave up hope.
samlogic30 -- I don't know if you're still able to repair these things but it would be awesome if you can.

Hi Dave
I Have the same problem, one of my Flying Moles which is housed in a TB2-A PMC did exactly the same thing. Did you manage to get it fixed? Are you willing to sell the good one, I will pay a good price for it. Did you find a good alternative.

Hello All,
I have not tried to gather parts for these unit but I may try again. If I do and the supplier is still in business I may be able to repair the basic distortion issues.
I'm in the USA so shipping may be a pricey not including the repair.

Hi Sam
I believe the company went bust many years ago, however their website is still fully functional which is strange. It would be great that someone would be able to fix these units as there is a great demand for this. I would certainly ship to USA

Hello everyone,
I am also very interested in understanding how you (Sam) managed to repair the amps back in the days! I am trying to repair mine (I own 3 that are broken...) and currently going crazy because the parts that are causing a problem all seem impossible to replace. They are covered in plastic and hidden by the manufacturer to be kept secret... Which makes it impossible to repair now that they are bankrupt and have disappeared from the face of the earth.
Here is a picture of the culprit:

If anyone has any clue, I will gladly take it!
Sam, if you have any idea, let us know!
Have a nice day

Hello all,
I reached out to a parts supplier to see if parts are still available for the Flying Mole amps. I understand that the Flying Mole company is out of business. I have had to pair the boards to component level. There are no schematics or part documentation for these amps. A little reverse engineering as been successful.
I'll see hopefully soon.
Happy new year!

Hey Sam!
I am sorry, I am not sure I understand what you mean.
Do you mean that you are going to try to understand what the components are that are no longer made? Or that you are giving up because there is no possible way ?
Thank you and happy new year!

Hello
I believe a found a supplier of the parts needed to repair the distortion issues. Everytime I find a supplier they sell out. These parts are not cheap and the supplier I found has used OEM. My first supplier had new OEM but he sold them all.
