Sorry about the images - I’d like to embed them but I cannot presently figure it out.
Re building control; I will check, but they only specified size and whether anyone would be sleeping there. The building is within permitted development rules. I had a meeting with Planning, spoke to building control, and the plans (that I have yet to put up) were drawn up by a retired building control inspector, so I am confident I am ok to just crack on!

I would hold fire there, I’m sure you’re keen to crack on but you can’t assume anything with planning departments, you might end up having to knock it all down.

Remember to think about security & insurance issues too, as you will probably have £thousands of equipment in an outbuilding.

I will go see the council again, just to double check (you lot are making me paranoid).

On security and insurance issues, my day job involves both, so I’m well aware of the requirements!

Paranoia is a lot cheaper than rebuilding! :D
I've had to jump through quite a few non-standard hurdles on mine, but base installation should start on Monday. :)

I’m on hold til October now - the car started making bad bad noises on holiday, resulting in the need for a replacement car when we got back.

Never mind, gives me the chance to triple check with the council!

Ah, sorry to hear about the car. But at least you'll be able to get everything confirmed with the council and get it signed off.
