Exactly. The requests will now start to pour in for bespoke... what do you call them?... endcheeks. Sounds cheeky.

Ha! I'm on a deliberate pause at the moment, for a few reasons:
1) i'm thinking it might be time to upgrade my computer so i'm a bit wary of kicking off new projects.
2) i've just finished a set of tracks so i'm giving my ears a rest before mastering them.
3) i'm on holiday at the moment and spent most of last week in the studio doing video and podcasts for work.
So lamps next week. :)

Drew, just caught up with this - nice!

Really good to see your build solutions, your kit, and to get a hint of what floats your boat musically. Guitars, obviously!

Cheers BillB, yep, it's mostly guitars here, though i have added a reed organ since that video was made. Just need to make a set of legs for it.
I knew there was another job i was forgetting... :headbang:

It’s great to see where you make your music! Full of ingenious designs too.

Looks great!
Really liked the way the treatment can be wheeled out to suit - very clever! :)
Good use of the space behind the console to store guitars too.
Enjoy! :)

Thanks folks, the most surprising thing about the whole caboodle is that it has pretty much all worked to plan. (Lightswitches notwithstanding).

What a difference between the accoustics of the basic shell of the building and the tamed end result ! I am impressed by that, good job

Also the live/tame room on rollers, very effective & ingenious !

Under desk wedge ? is this a foot rest / storage / stomp drum ?

you addressed the elephant in the room

Thanks Nigel,
Footrest/storage - yes. Haven't tried it as a stomp drum. Yet.
I'm sure that if a professional acoustician came by they'd be fairly scornful of it, but it's fit for purpose from my perspective. :)

Well, I made the decorative lamps from the old radio biscuit tins* but then discovered that I didn't have any of the right type of bulbs. So no pics there yet. But in between trips to the hospital today I did knock up a quick log drum set.

Need to make a heavier set of beating sticks for it though.

* Radio Biscuit is my next band by the way.

I need to made the bigger beaters first - they sound a bit too clacky at the moment with the thinner sticks I was using.

They're already sitting on the floor?
Oh wait...
;)

Actually I'm going to attach some heavy legs to give it a bit more resonance as well.
