Bluetooth Audio Transmitter IC for simultaneous transmission

Postby SAAD » Mon Nov 25, 2019 12:55 pm

Hello All,

I am looking for a recommendation for Bluetooth audio IC.
My usage is I want to connect a MIC with Bluetooth IC and Transfer its sounds simultaneously to Wireless headset and to mobile (android/iPhone) for sound recording purposes.
So my main usage is to listen and record it simultaneously through Bluetooth.

Thanks

Are you looking for a ready-made device to connect to a mic, or the actual chip to make up a DIY unit yourself? If the former, this forum is the best one... but if the latter I'll move it to the electronics and DIY forum.

Bluetooth is very laggy, and not ideal for singing and monitoring on headphones at the same time. The delay between your voice and the headphone sound is very off-putting. The delay isn't an issue for recording, but you will probably struggle if you are the one singing and also monitoring yourself over Bluetooth headphones.

I don't think this can be done. BT isn't a network. It's a P2P connection.

Some devices perform the trick (connecting more than two devices) by sending it as a second stream. But even that is a hack at best. When you add an inherent 15 msec latency and DIY, I'd say you better look elsewhere. Like Dante. No DIY, not cheap. Or AVB, DIY possible, but far from easy.
