minor repair to Beyerdynamic M160 ribbon mic -gluing cover back on

Postby adamotyril » Sat Jan 11, 2020 3:50 pm

Hi,

what type of glue would you use to put this cover back on?

There's no thread (so doesn't screw back on), but there are traces of a glue of some kind

Obviously nothing heavy duty and permanent, just to keep it in place : )

(it's a Beyerdynamic M160, just in case you are a twitcher)

Thanks in advance

Caveat.: Not an expert!

I usually see a few dabs of contact adhesive (Evostik) when I pull things like this apart, effectively permanent when painted on thick but removeable when used sparingly like glue dots.

Nice mic.

Do yourself a favour, wear earplugs at gigs.
