Oh dear, I shot to this post at lightning speed, as I thought you were designing a "studio desk" along the lines of a "mixing desk" I’m severely disappointed now, that I can’t get involved in this one.

I copied the link and opened it in a new window and got nothing.

They're showing on Firefox on a Mac here now, but they didn't want to work a bit earlier on.

Should be OK now, I've added them as inline images within the forum itself.

One thing for future reference though; it's not something we generally like to do as it does incur a little overhead on the SOS servers both in terms of bandwidth and storage but as I did it on the original images I've made an exception in this case.

If/when you post further images Moroccomoose, I recommend going to imgur.com, making a new post, uploading them there, then right clicking on each of the uploaded images, copying the direct link to the .jpg and using that in the 'img' tags here.

The problem with file hosting services is that they often 'wrap' the files in various links and redirects rather than providing straightforward linking to the actual images. Imgur is much easier to link to and works well.

Depending on the browser then right clicking on an image usually gives an option for "Copy Image Location" or something simliar which is sometimes handy for the hosting sites that hide things away.

Yes, that's what I did when I 'fixed' them first time around but it appears only to have worked for me and not for other people. Looking at the links that were generated when using 'Copy image location' there was a long random-looking hex access token in the resulting link which I suspect is generated on a per-client basis, so while it worked for me it didn't for everyone else.

This is why using a dedicated image-hosting service is preferable to a generic file-sharing service; the image-hosting services offer cleaner, universal links that work for everyone!

When I first put the images up, I used a Dropbox link...but then I realised Dropbox only allow public sharing with subscription accounts...

Box is another cloud storage and I edited the links to there and still didn't work.

Then I got half way through uploading on imgur when I noticed Ed had edited the post and the images were working....

The next lot will be on imgur now I have an account.
