Hi all,
I initially posted this track in Music Business with a view to getting some ideas on what to do with it next, based on the fact that I am a teacher looking to gain some experience with the whole online aggregation and DIY promotion thing, in order to prepare some course materials for the students.

However, I'd also be interested in feedback on the song.

It is part of a project I did for my MA, looking at the relationship between noise and music. All the sounds in the backing track are from our family car, which I have processed in a number of ways. The song itself depicts an eventful journey to the West Country to visit family, with the kids. There are some obvious 2-Tone / Ska / Madness influences in there, which I'm hoping might have an appeal. (Of course, you are welcome to share it in your own networks, if you like...)

Comments, critique, suggestions for video production and promo, huge record company advance, all very welcome!

This is weird. I thought I'd posted a reply. Is this a duplicate posting?

Quirky, frivolous music that does exactly what it says on the tin. Actually very well done, very slick and well arranged and produced. The chorus reminds me of Madness. I like this, fun and catchy and full of verve. The Madness lyrical reference is however a bit too close to home,,,
Really reminds me of those tiresome childhood journeys!!! Great rhythmic feel, appropriately bouncy and breezy,,,,

Ha ha! Like it!

I'd prefer musical verses, rather than rap, but can't argue about how well it's done.

Voices could be a touch clearer - you really need the words to get over loud and clear.

Nice idea and done with a good sense of humour. Have to agree about the Madness lyric though - you're already in homage territory and adding that reference is possibly a step too far.

Get it heard and it could be a winner for you - great job! :D

Absolutely first class! I was grinning all the way through :bouncy:
Using just the perfectly timed (and sized) text in the vid is a stroke of genius.
I really hope this does well for you.

:D

Delivery reminds me of The Shamen : Ebeneezer Goode.
Instrumentation a little of Black Out Crew (put a donk on it).

A whole album of : pullin me hair out in Tesco, wheres me bus, postman delivered wrong adress,
double charged credit card, bartender over ere, run out of phone credit, stepped on poo,
do me a favour, pull the other one, my veg is manky.
