Hi again Oscar,

I enjoyed listening to this, as I have all of the pieces you have linked to.

However, while evocative, and well played, to me it sounded like a performer rehearsing his/her part, and not a complete composition. Even with a little piano accompaniment, or expanded into a string trio or quartet it would I fell really come to life a lot more.

Perhaps I enjoy counterpoint too much ;)

I liked this a lot, and it is very 'Bach-ish' to my ears. I do agree with Martin, but then again I'm not a huge solo violin afficionado so I don't know how it stands against other solo pieces, and it could be that it's just the sound of a solo violin that triggers the ear to search for/expect more because I'm not used to it.

One thing I will say is that listening to it I now have a rather grandiose arrangement playing in my head which is a continuation of it, done on a lot of synthesizers (that's a 'me' thing!) and as such I'm certainly going to be listening to it again because I find it very inspiring.

I think you have achieved what you sought to with this piece, well done!

Well, I only have one CD of solo Bach violin pieces but that sounded it would fit right in! :)

Nice triple stops! Very expressive playing.

I like your timing. It is relaxed, ebbs and flows, and adds another dimension to the music and makes it breath.

The instrument sounds very nice too. Deep and articulate at the same time.

Intonation is very nice. You have a good ear and nice touch.

The composition held my interest entirely.

Bach is smiling :D

I think this is rather nice. I listened to a couple of the Bach solo violin pieces for comparison, and I think yours stands up pretty well. Good job.
