An experienced lyricist always available

Postby Ria April Avalon » Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:35 pm

Hello everyone! I am an experienced poet and lyricist who has been writing lyrics professionally for both emerging and established performers since 2007. I have completed hundreds of songs in many various styles and I can write on any subject.

You can listen to some songs with my lyrics successfully performed by professional artists here: https://soundcloud.com/riaaprilavalon. Also, you can view my creative works on my author page: https://www.facebook.com/rialyrics.

If you need a lyricist, contact me via e-mail aprilavalon@gmail.com or send me a message for prices and more details. Please note that I am not a ghostwriter - even if I give you all the exclusive rights to my lyrics, I always retain my right to be given credits as the author of the lyrics.

P.S. Please contact me directly via e-mail rather than comments or private messages, I don't check the forums that often.

Do you have any songs about people who post on forums but never actually engage or contribute anything?

Take no notice Ria, the men haven't had their walk yet and their cranky

I'm currently working on a song to explain the historical context of the 2008 financial collapse.

So far I've got,

"There once was a group of young bankers..."

And then I get a blockage.

"Dancing Queen - feel the heat from the tangerine, ooh yeah!"

Do yourself a favour, wear earplugs at gigs.

You think you've got problems.

I sat down to write and all I can come up with is 'Spam spam spam spam . . .'

I've never liked a solo violin, you need at least five for a proper fire.

There once was a group of young bankers
Who invested in several large tankers
They filled them with soil
And claimed it was oil
And sold them to some very rich people

there you go, just can't think of a rhyme for that last line though

An experienced lyricist called Ria
Would drop in occasionally here
But the ads to write vocals
Would rile the locals
Each time that she used to appear

Her name was Ria,
She posted here,
But she only logged in twice a year,
Seems she was needier,
For social media,
Redirecting traffic to some demographic on the forum,
She lost her love...

Why would you give away all your rights in exchange for a credit?

That's not quite what she says actually. She says that she retains the requirement for a credit even if she agrees a deal that gives you all other rights - i.e. she'll sell you the work.
Makes sense to have a full range of licensing options I reckon.

Now all ye gentlemen, grand and gay,
When you metre maid by wood or lea,
Sir Knight, I pray, ride on thy way,
Nor turn and whisper, 'Remember me.'

My name is Ria, Ria April Avalon
I'll make you some lyrics on Athens and Babylon
or any other subject you'd want or you'd like,
I have hundreds of songs in many of a style!
So don't hesitate, pick up your g-mail
and send me a letter for price and details!

A ghostwriter I am not, for credits I want
but I'll give you an exclusive, so don't you feel daunt.
And please remember not to use a PM
when you ask for the price of the fruits of my pen,
as you won't see me replying any word on this page
simply because I will not come here for ages

Would have to work the metric a little, but this will do for now :)

(Ria, if you ever read this: it's just in good spirit - it's cool for me that you post your ad)

I think it's pretty clear it was all done in jest. I wish her all the best. What made me smile though was the "Always available... except when I'm not...which is pretty much always"

Musical differences broke up the band,
And nobody chooses to linger,
Or dwell on the fact that the lyrics were crap,
Cos the drummer was banging the singer.

Ria, you can have that for free.

All this wordplay is very impressive but I think we can all see why Noel's on the big bucks.
