I wish I took more pictures, but here's the FOH of a rig we managed for a theatrical production.
There were 10 vocal actors and a small orchestra of piano, keys, bass, drums, strings and brass.
Here's what we used:
Mains, D&B Q7 tops with Q-Subs powered by 2x D&B D12 1200Watt amps
Not a whole lot of power compared to some rigs, but for spoken word we needed clarity rather than volume, and the D&B Q series delivers... and then some! We've worked with Meyer and EV for similar projects but the D&B rig is fantastic.
Monitors, 2 EV 600 Watt wedge monitors powered by a Crown Macro-Tech 1200 amp.
Allen & Heath GL2400 Console
Rane ME60 2-Channel Graphic EQ
Yamaha DDL3 Delay/Reverb
Behringer MDX2200 Compressor/limiter
10x Sennheiser EW300 G3 Digital receivers hooked up to 2 Senn' ariels via BNC
10x CPC Head-set mics*
10x Sennheiser EW300 G2 Transmitter-packs
3x Shure SM57
2x Audix i5
2X Audix UEM81C
1 RED5 RVK7
*A word about these CPC mics. I've used Sennheiser counterparts and these CPC mics are a FRACTION of the cost but sound very nearly as good. Amazing performance from such a cheap mic.
