mixer to monitor hookup

Postby cavetti » Wed Apr 13, 2011 8:42 pm

i am new at sound setup and would like to know how do i use a PEavey xr8300 amp for a monitor amp using a pylepro powered pmx1208 mixing board as my main system. i have 1-aux on the pylepro and was thinking about using the peavey to drive 2 wedges through the main and monitor outs on the rear and using a wireless monitor system for the monitor out on the front panel.

An 8 channel splitter might be useful but you loose some sources because of the mismatch between the different number of inputs on your mixers.

e.g.

There's likely to be a work-around with most bands by feed the aux of your main mixer into a return on the peavy.
