Good wireless headset mic for under £100 ??

Looking for a wireless headset mic i can use with my Alto mixer and PA speaker for dance classes that I operate. Just need something clear and reliable and hoping to get that under my current budget squeeze.. £50 - £100

Hmmm... you'll need to be careful you don't buy junk with the budget you have available.

I'd suggest you think about secondhand - there's usually some good stuff on EBAY....

Makes to look out for: Trantec, Audio-Technica; Sennheiser...

BUT make sure you buy one that's legal to use in the UK... Probably best to get something in the licence-exempt bands for simplicity.

That's VHF 173-8 - 175.0 MHz and UHF 863.01 - 864.99 MHz (aka Channel 70)
Anything else is either illegal to use in the UK or requires a licence...

Some will tell you that you shouldn't use VHF mics. I've never had any problems when using VHF systems from reputable manufacturers such as those mentioned above.

Trantec 4.4 or Sennheiser Freeport (almost identical) are good budget systems.

Don't be tempted by a mic from Manufacturer A and a receiver from Manufacturer B. They may work in some fashion, but performance will not be optimal - Radio mics need to be accurately paired.

Just bought the trantec 4.4, 2nd hand on ebay for £70

You can go for the Plantronics headset, because its reasonable and good quality headsets.
