Yamaha o1v96i Question

Postby twotoedsloth » Sat Jul 28, 2018 5:45 pm

Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this.

I have a Yamaha o1v96i mixing console that I use for recording and PA. I use the aux 7+8 outputs to feed my power amp.

My question is: is there a way to insert a master eq after the aux send and before the output? This is to control potential feedback. Right now I just adjust each channel individually, which works, but is time consuming.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Looks like it should be.
From the manual
"To set the EQ for Aux Out 1–8, press the DISPLAY ACCESS [EQ] button, then press the [F1] button to display the EQ | EQ Edit page, then use the [SEL] buttons to select Aux Out 1–8."

EDIT - this gets you the 4 band EQ, not sure about a Master EQ or what that is on the 01V. (I've a pre "i" version)

Yes, just as Kwackman says. It's all described in page 37 in the manual :

https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/o ... pdf#page29

You can insert a four-band EQ (and/or delay, dynamics processing etc) in any of the main stereo out, other output busses, and aux sends.

Thank you both for your replies.

I will have to spend some more time with the manual. I still can't find where to set the EQ for my busses. The SEL button just selects the channel EQ, not the bus.

Sorry to be a bother,

Peter

Found it!

The information they don't give you is that you need to select the master layer. Then you press EQ, F1, and whatever aux you want to EQ.

Thanks for pushing me in the right direction!

Very kind regards,

Peter

To set EQ for Aux out (omni out 1-4) . Select Master layer - press channel 1 become Aux 1 - then press EQ. Now you will see aux1 EQ. To repeat for aux 2....
Good luck
