IEM/Electronics Service

I have learned that Sennheiser doesn't cooperate with anyone trying to service their products. They want you to mail it to them along with a flat fee. They want $405 to service (no matter how simple the problem) an EK 300 IEM receiver, and I'll sit on my hands and wait. This is a lousy business model and if I can get around it I will not be purchasing any more Sennheiser gear. I work for 8 very busy 7/days venues, I need my gear back asap. I need local service. I've also been told that Shure, Electro-Voice, and a few others have the same policy. My question is, who makes decent, midline IEMs that cooperate with local service techs?
