Is it possible to do live sound engineering (FOH) using Ableton Live?

Any DAW with a low latency interface can mix. The question is if it's the most effective way of doing it.

But the more plug-ins you use, the higher the latency.
Unless you've got an AI with lots of inputs and outputs and you need to use almost all of them, you'd really be better off with a standard hardware mixer for the immediacy of the controls and zero latency.
I'd suggest trying it out first in a rehearsal, rather than plunging straight into the deep end at a gig.
