"If you don't clear out pronto, we'll play your headline song... Only we'll do it properly."

IME unless the stage manger is running things super efficiently, as the day goes on the things over-run and the time slots available for the bands gets smaller and smaller.

This is absolutely my pet hate.....

Dave B wrote:Now, under current UK law, it's illegal to punish this kind of bad behaviour by death. It's a shame as it's a neat system that ensures a) no repeat offences and b) less noise pollution.

Not a UK citizen, but I'd support any such laws! :D

Dave B wrote:I mentioned this to a couple of other musicians, both of whom had had similar experience and both were distraught to find out that summary execution is not an option. Seems it's a fairly command and aggravating offence.

Shame, right?

That sounds like a real dig...

Andy mentions gin and now this thread has gone quiet for a full eight hours - is everyone still drinking, or are most of you still asleep following his suggestion?

Just poured myself a generous Tanqueray with Fevertree tonic on ice :)

Handy tip...

Keeping lemons at home for your bedtime G&T can be wasteful. But a squirt of lemon juice from a bottle is a decent substitute.

Philistine! :madas:

Actually I prefer a wedge of lime with mine. But since that is only one of 10 gins currently in the Gin cupboard Tanqueray only comes out occasionally at the moment.
