I suspect this is more of your tyre-kicking for gear you don't need and can't afford... :D but for the general benefit of the forum, Milan is the marketing name for a variation of the AVB Audio-over-IP protocol:

https://avnu.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Milan-Whitepaper_FINAL-1.pdf

So a milan-ready speaker is one which can be connected to an AVB network to receive audio and control data.

When working with IP networks in critical situations, it is common to operate with two networks simultaneously so that if one fails, the second (which was previously 'redundant'), can take over...

If you need to ask, then you probably don't need to know.

You're quite right. We're enjoying a joke at your expense, which isn't fair. And it's always good to learn regardless of whether something is directly relevant to a specific application.

I don't think it likely that a Milan network would be appropriate for your application, but if you do decide to go down that road, you now have the links to the white paper and organisational website, thanks to the good forum folk doing the google searches for you! ;-)

But returning to that specific Turbosound speaker, the Milan name is just a coincidence -- that speaker is not equipped with audio-over-ip capabilities.

It is reviewed here:

Well, it was just an enquiry, looking ahead, less weight the better, hitec the better, learning all the way.
