Band Walk On / Entrance Music

Postby Petelowe » Mon Nov 04, 2019 11:33 am

Hi all!

Does anyone out there have a decent drone/ intro track that we can use as 'walk on music'

We're pretty open to ideas but just looking for something that starts as deep-ish drone and builds up a bit of energy ready for the band to walk on. It could possibly have a few stabs or rhythm to it as it gets going for us to sync some lights/ blinders to but that's not important at all

I've searched online for hours but starting to think we might have to just make our own :headbang:
Everything i've googled seems too cinematic for film

Anyway, I thought i would check on here first....surely, i'm not the first to want this kind of thing!! :?

Please also share links if you know anyone that might want to design it (for payment of course!)

Pretty much sums up every prog rock show I ever performed!

PM me, with a couple of examples you like and we can discuss.

Does anyone know where Pete has gone? There's a PM and some walk-on music waiting for him!

I've had no joy contacting this guy, so looks like I have piece of walk-on music for the next mini-tour!

That's weird - he posts three times asking a favour, but then doesn't even reply to a personal email offering help?

I hope it's not due to something bad happening, but someone must occasionally get run over by a bus.

course!)

Just write your own, surely, like almost every other band that uses one does???

Sometimes it's about having a walk-on that's in complete contrast to the style of music the band plays. I've often created orchestral/keyboard-based walk-ons for guitar-based acts.

Mmmmm, Yes used to use the finale to Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite - quite a build up, from very gentle to enormous crescendo, followed by Steve Howe letting rip with the jagged intro chords of ‘Siberian Khatru’ - what a piece of theatre. Those wer’t days!

As well as 'walk on' music, do you also have 'running off' music to cover the sound of things being thrown at you? :D
